One-of-a-Kind Dirndls for a One-of-a-Kind Gal: That’s Vicki!

Hello Everyone, I am Victoria Schwager from the Detroit Donauschwaben. I have my graduate Degree in Social Work and get the pleasure of working in the mental health field everyday. When I am not enjoying work, I am spending time with family and friends. 

In the pictures I am wearing two different One-of-a-Kind Rare Dirndls, the coral/tan I am wearing at Detroit's Oktoberfest and the Grey/Teal you may have seen me spotting at Labor Day in Chicago. Growing up in a German Culture society has always brought me the greatest gifts one gets in life, love and happiness.   

From the endless amount of memories to making some of the greatest friendships, sharing in my heritage has always been some of my happiest day. One of my favorite memories was that of getting to wear a "fun" dirndl. I remember getting handed down one of my Oma's dirndls to wear when I was younger and getting told stories of her times in the old country. It was and has always been the great blessing. Now, I am lucky enough that I have two of my very own One-of-a-Kind Rare Dirndls of my own to hang in the Dirndl Closet next to Oma's!
